Hecuba by Euripides

hecubaWednesday, 8 – Friday, 10 February 2012; 2:30pm and 7:00pm (Wed, Fri), 7:00pm (Thu).

The 2012 King’s College’s Greek Play will be Euripides’ Hecuba.

It will be directed by Roseanna Long who says: ‘I have chosen to stage Euripides’ Hecuba because I feel it will appeal to a contemporary audience as it focuses on human moral dilemmas rather than the influences of the Olympian Gods. Euripides raises the issue of whether revenge in extreme circumstances is a justifiable act which is a question humanity continually battles with today.’
