Rena Stamou started her career in the Greek song when she was still a teenager.

Since then she has appeared with most of the biggest names of rebetiko and popular music, from Markos Vamvakaris, Vassilis Tsitsanis, Yiannis Papaioannou, Christakis and Giorgos Zabetas to Apostolos Kaldaras, Stratos Payioumtzis, Grigoris Bithikotsis, Manolis Hiotis, Loukas Daralas.

Her voice can be heard in some of the first successes of Stelios Kazantzidis, as well as in records of Bithikotsis.

Rena Stamou is probably the only still active performer in Greece from the days of the creation of the tradition of rebetiko. She has been living between Athens and London for the last years and she will offer us her unique voice and 65 years of experience in a truly unique performance, along with Moosootoo on the 29th May.
